I am the person conducting this model webinar series for you on behalf of Edotech Private Limited. Ediotech private limited is one of the leading model certified institutions in Sri Lanka provide quality training and support in e-learning technologies. Today I will be presenting on an important and modern concept called model microlarning. This session will help you understand how we can make learning more simple, engaging and effective using a small focus lesson. So let us begin. In traditional learning, there are several problems.
First, people forget most of what they learn within a few days. Second, today people are very busy and don't have enough time to learn. Third, long lessons can be boring and tiring. So, traditional learning methods are not effective anymore. So, let us see what is microlarning. Microarning is the solution for this problem. It means learning in a small, short and simple lesson. Each lesson focuses on only one objective.
For example, instead of a 2-hour lesson, we can give a 2 minute video to teach one skill. This makes learning easier and more effective. In here we are discussing why we use model. Model is a powerful platform that supports microlearning. It allows teachers to create short lessons, quizzes and activities. Also model is flexible and easy to obtain. In this slide we are discussing gamification to make learning more interesting. We can use gamification. We can give badges when students complete activities. We can give points for progress. We can also use ladder boards to create friendly competition. This makes learning more engaging and fun. In this slide, we are discussing gamification. In here we are discussing about the smart learning that means automation. Moodle also supports a smart learning. For example, if a student fails a quiz, Moodle can show a short revision video. Lessons can be arranged by stepby step. The students can move to the next lesson only after completing the previous one. So learning becomes more structured and more effective. In here we are discussing future of learning. In the future learning will become more intelligent. Artificial intelligence can generate quiz questions automatically. It can suggest what to learn next based on performance. It also create short summarizes of long content. So learning will be more personalized. To conclude, microlarning is a simple and effective way of learning. Moodle provides all the tools needed to implement microlarning. If we use short list of visuals and instant feedback, we can improve student engagement and learning outcomes. Thank you.
Before I move into the activity, let me briefly introduce what H5P activities are. H5P stands for interactive content and it is a tool that we can use inside model to create engaging and interactive learning materials. Instead of just reading notes or watching videos, students can actively participate through activities like quizzes, drag and drop, interactive videos and many more. These activities support microlarning because they are short, focused and help your students learn by doing rather than just listening. Now I will demonstrate one type of H5P activity called drag and drop. This activity allows learners to match items or organize information in a simple and interactive way.
